Interview with Sandra Collins,
of Crystal Aura Creations
Sandra Collins is the founder of Crystal Aura Creations, an Australian company that specializes in handmade creations using natural materials and upcycled goods. Sandra recently made her logo on Logojoy.com and took the important steps of setting up her social media profiles and started building out her e-commerce store. We interviewed her about her business and got some useful advice for aspiring entrepreneurs.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was creating items for fun and giving them away and it just started from there.
Can you describe your business and what you sell?
I make sun catchers from crystals and gems, driftwood hangings, Kokodama and Macrame I upcycle things I find at markets or second hand stores into unique individual pieces.
How did you determine your niche and target audience?
It just evolved into what it is.
What were your biggest startup costs and considerations?
Biggest start up cost was the crystals and gemstones, driftwood is free and Kokodama are relatively quick and inexpensive to make, Macrame is more time costly than expense outlay.
What online tools do you use to run your business?
Facebook and instagram are my main go to online platforms.
What’s the most challenging part of running your company?
The most challenging is knowing when to stop and have a rest. I just adore creating.
Does your company have a website?
I’m in the process of building out my Shopify store. Keep an eye on my Facebook page for the big announcement of when it will be launched!

What company values does your logo represent?
My logo represents universal love that surrounds everyone through aura.
What makes your company unique, and how is that portrayed in your logo?
The circle around my business logo is my protective aura. This is a unique feature and symbolic for me.
Why did you decide to design your logo rather than hiring a designer?
I wanted my logo it to be my own design.
